Advice Direct Scotland will be focusing on Black Friday and Cyber Monday with their ‘Stay in the Know’ campaign running from Monday the 22nd to Monday 29th of November 2021.

The campaign aims to highlight key considerations for Scottish consumers in the lead up to two of the busiest days of the year for online shopping, Black Friday (26th November) and Cyber Monday (29th November).

According to Internet Retail, analysis by Clearbanc showed that small online businesses saw a 150% surge in business on Black Friday 2020.

Additionally, the Home and Garden sector saw a 52% uplift in sales on the same day, with many consumers continuing to concentrate on improvements to their homes during the pandemic.

With changes in the way consumers are spending money, and offers tempting shoppers to spend again on Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year, it is more important than ever for consumers to be aware of their rights when it comes to purchases, and the recourse they have should things go wrong.

Throughout the course of the ‘Stay in the Know’ campaign we will be looking at consumer rights, and sharing top-tips to ensure that Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2021 go as smoothly as possible.
